FADAMA-CARES Organises Training for beneficiaries In FCT

The FADAMA-CARES has organised a one day pre-disbursement capacity building training for its Batch B beneficiaries in FCT.
The Coordinator of FCT FADAMA-CARES, Mr Usman Adangara, during the opening ceremony of the training in Gwagwalada Area Council on Tuesday, said the training was designed to build the capacity of participants in the areas of group dynamics, book/record keeping, environmental management, procurement and protect monitoring/evaluation.
Adangara also noted thay FCT FADAMA-CARES programme, is being enacted using the World Bank programme for results financing model, as well as equally influencing the community-driven approach in financing a community-level programme investment.
According to the FCT FADAMA-CARES coordinator, the objective was to increase food security and safe functioning of food supply.
Lawan Kolo Geidam, the FCT Mandate Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development,in his speech,which was delivered by his Permanent Secretary, Mrs Grace Adayilo, said FCT FADAMA-CARES had successfully disbursed 7,383 grants to beneficiaries from 109 farming community associations across the FCT.
