Glory Lucas Foundation empowers students with awareness

The Glory Lucas Foundation has continued its mission to promote mental health awareness with Day 2 of its #ProjectFeedAMind campaign, held at Falomo Senior High School, Ikoyi, on February 6, 2025.

The event provided students with essential knowledge and practical tools to help them navigate mental health challenges.

The Founder and CEO Expensive Lucas opened the session by introducing the Glory Lucas Foundation and its #ProjectFeedAMind campaign—a three-month-long mental health sensitization initiative designed to equip young people with the resources needed to prioritize their mental well-being.

she discussed common mental health struggles while addressing the eager students, as well as emphasized the importance of seeking help.

The founder also shared an emergency contact number—112—in case of crisis.

Esther Akinola, the guest speaker, psychologist delivered an insightful session on the importance of mental health and its impact on emotions and daily life.

Akinola highlighted key warning signs of mental distress, such as predestine sadness, difficulty concentrating, and social withdrawal.

Emphasizing that all emotions are valid, she encouraged students to seek support when needed. Esther also led a guided breathing exercise to help students manage stress effectively.

The Glory Lucas Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to driving meaningful social change one initiative at a time across various sectors including but not limited to— Education, Agriculture, Business.

The Glory Lucas Foundation remains committed to supporting young people in prioritizing their mental well-being and continuing to spread awareness through its ongoing campaigns.
