Three individuals have been killed by gunmen in an attack in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred near Government Secondary School (GSS) Kwall, opposite the Military Drone Base, as the victims were returning home from Kwall District.
Joseph Chudu Yonkpa, a youth leader in the Irigwe community and National Publicity Secretary of the Irigwe Youth Movement, confirmed the attack to reporters on Wednesday in Jos.
According to Yonkpa, the victims—identified as Sunday Ishaya (37), Joshua Mishi (51), and Range Kpeh (32)—suffered fatal bullet and machete wounds.
“Yes, it’s true. On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, three individuals from Kwall District in Bassa LGA were tragically killed in a violent attack while heading home,” Yonkpa stated. “The incident occurred near GSS Kwall, opposite the Military Drone Base. May their souls rest in peace.”

Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, for official confirmation were unsuccessful as his phone was switched off at the time of filing this report.
