Jigawa police arrest 105 drug lords as Tinubu pardon drug lords, fraudsters, others

Policemen attached to the Jigawa State Police Command have apprehended at least 105 individuals during coordinated raids conducted across various parts of the state.
The arrests were announced by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, during a press briefing held on Tuesday at the command’s headquarters in Dutse, the state capital.
Adam explained that police teams combed through communities and suspected hideouts in a determined effort to dismantle the state’s illegal drug network. “Our officers worked tirelessly and left no stone unturned,” he stated, underscoring the command’s commitment to tackling the growing drug problem.
According to him, the operation resulted in the seizure of more than 5,000 illegal drugs and intoxicating substances, including cannabis and a range of hard drugs.
He further detailed the confiscated items, noting that they included 2,541 tablets of Exol and 1,146 units of D-5 both substances widely misused in the region.
The police have assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that all suspects will face prosecution in accordance with the law.
