President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a stern warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), urging him to focus strictly on his official responsibilities in Abuja or risk possible removal from office.

The directive was conveyed by Mr. Ibrahim Ya’u Darazo, the President’s Special Adviser on Political and Intergovernmental Affairs, during a press briefing held in Abuja on Tuesday.

Speaking to journalists, Darazo emphasized that political office holders, including the FCT Minister, must refrain from actions capable of escalating political tension, particularly in Rivers State or any part of the country. He stressed that such distractions are unacceptable when they interfere with the discharge of official duties.

According to the Presidency, the warning is aimed at promoting discipline within government ranks, ensuring total commitment to public service, and maintaining the dignity of ministerial offices.

The President, through his aide, made it clear that his administration will not tolerate any conduct that undermines governance or shifts attention away from the core responsibility of serving Nigerians.
