JUST IN: Nigeria triumph over Jamaica 5-4 on Penalty

The Super Eagles of Nigeria triumphed over Jamaica 5-4 on penalties to claim the 2025 Unity Cup title on Saturday.

The thrilling final, held at Brentford Community Stadium in London, ended 2-2 in regulation time, with goals from Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze for Nigeria.

The match went to a tense penalty shootout after both teams remained deadlocked at the end of regular play. The Super Eagles of Nigeria held their nerve to edge past Jamaica and lift the trophy.

The 2025 Unity Cup, which ran from May 27 to 31, brought together four teams—Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago—in a vibrant celebration of football and cultural heritage.

This year’s tournament was especially significant, marking the return of the Unity Cup after a 21-year hiatus.
