Lawmaker Secures Jobs for 175 Constituents

THE Member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency in Katsina State, Mr Abdullahi Aliyu-Ahmed, has secured employment for 175 of his constituents.
This is contained in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Francis Sardauna, on Thursday in Katsina.
Aliyu-Ahmed, who is Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Interior, also holds the traditional title of Dujiman Katsina.
He said the new employees had been recruited into the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Police, Army, Federal Medical Centres, and Federal Teaching Hospitals.

According to Aliyu-Ahmed, 42 constituents joined the FFS, 18 the NIS, over 100 the police and army, while 15 were employed in teaching hospitals and medical centres.
He stated: “This life-changing initiative underscores his commitment to tackling economic hardship and promoting self-sufficiency in his constituency through job schemes and empowerment grants.”
While presenting appointment letters to some beneficiaries, the lawmaker pledged to continue empowering his constituents to alleviate poverty.
He said the initiative was not politically motivated but aimed at improving the socio-economic well-being of his people.
Aliyu-Ahmed emphasised his commitment to ensuring that graduates from his constituency secured employment or were equipped with vocational skills.
He congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to be dedicated and professional in their duties to enhance service delivery.
Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the lawmaker and pledged to serve diligently.
Nura Ahmed, one of them, thanked Aliyu-Ahmed for the opportunity and promised to give his best in service.
