Lokoja Killer Pelumi Drinks Sniper To Death After Butchering Photographer”

The manhunt for Oluwapelumi Adebayo, the alleged killer of young photographer Ayo Aiyepeku, has come to a tragic end. The suspect was found dead, having reportedly taken his own life after committing the horrific act.

According to authorities, Adebayo’s lifeless body was discovered in a room where he is believed to have consumed a deadly mixture of Sniper insecticide, Coca-Cola, and biscuits. His remains have been deposited at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja.

A disturbing suicide note was also recovered at the scene. It read:

“My son shouldn’t be told of what I did because I suffered impulse disease.”

The note has raised questions about Adebayo’s mental state at the time of the crime, though the nature of the murder  luring the victim, dismembering the body, and attempting to flee suggests a calculated act.

Adebayo, who was alleged to be a correctional officer, had earlier butchered Ayo and packed his remains into a refrigerator behind his Hilux van. He fled the scene after a police chase but abandoned his vehicle and disappeared  until his body was found.

Residents of Lokoja remain in shock over the brutal murder and the suspect’s shocking end, while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the case.
