Man caught in Lagos repackaging London used IPhones to sell as new once

A Lagos based businessman has been caught on camera repackaging UK-used iPhones as brand new to sell in Lagos.

FUSION CHRONICLES NIGERIA NEWSPAPER gathered that the footage, which has rapidly circulated online, has left many netizens in disbelief.

The video shows the man meticulously using a mini waterproof wrapping machine to cover the used iPhone cartons. Questions are being raised about the source of these phone cartons, leading many to speculate about the extent of this fraudulent practice.

Reactions from social media users have been swift and critical. One commenter stated, “This is how they’ll repackage UK used phones and sell them at exorbitant prices.” Another chimed in with shock, saying, “The day I was told that I could buy a brand new iPhone that is not actually brand new in Ikeja, I was shocked.”

Adding to the discourse, a third user remarked, “I tell people that 60% of so-called new iPhones are refurbished. But what do I know?”
Is this business-wise or an act of criminality?
