Police Launch Manhunt for Kidnappers of Three Church Members in Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command has initiated a manhunt for the armed men who abducted three individuals in the Ogbese community, located in Akure North Local Government Area of the state.

According to information gathered, the victims were kidnapped on Monday evening while returning from a Bible study session at their church.

The kidnappers have reportedly contacted the victims’ families, demanding a ransom of ₦15 million—₦5 million for each victim.

The incident has been reported to both the state police and the Amotekun Corps.

A source close to the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the ransom demand made by the abductors.

Confirming the development on Tuesday, the Ondo state Police command Public Relations Officer, Ayanlade Olayinka, stated that police operatives have begun combing the surrounding forest areas in search of the victims.

He added that an investigation is underway to ensure their safe rescue.

“Our men are already in the bush around the said community,” Olayinka said.
