British Woman and Fiancé Found Dead in Vietnam Villa
A British woman and her South African fiancé were found dead in a holiday villa in Hoi An, Vietnam, according to local police.
Greta Marie Otteson, 33, was discovered lifeless on a bed in a first-floor room on December 26 at around 11:18 local time (04:18 GMT). Her fiancé, Els Arno Quinton, 36, was found in another room with its door reportedly locked from the inside, police said in a statement.
Both had been staying at the Hoa Chuong villa in the Cam Thanh commune since last summer, registering for long-term temporary residence. Ms. Otteson worked as a social media manager, while Mr. Quinton was a musician and livestreamer.
Police reported no signs of external force on the bodies or any indication of burglary in the rooms. Local media noted that several empty bottles of wine were discovered at the scene.
