Tragedy in Sokoto: SSG Loses Daughter and Grandchildren in Fatal Fire
The Sokoto State Secretary to the Government (SSG), Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, is mourning a profound loss after a fire claimed the lives of his daughter and her three children in the early hours of Monday.
The deceased woman was the wife of Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development.
The devastating fire, which engulfed the house while the family slept, left only her husband as the sole survivor. Firefighters battled the inferno for hours, but the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

The remains of the housewife and her three children are set to be buried at Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque, Sifawa, at midnight today, in the family home of the grieving SSG.
The tragedy has drawn an outpouring of support, with Sokoto State Deputy Governor Engr. Idris Mohammed Gobir, members of the State Executive Council, APC leaders, friends, and well-wishers visiting Sifawa to offer their condolences and participate in the burial rites.
