Yobe Forum Applauds Buni’s Revitalisation of Concrete Pole Factory

The Yobe State Forum of Chief Executives of Boards and Parastatals has praised the state government for successfully reviving the Yobe Pre-stressed Concrete Poles Industry in Damaturu.

During an inspection visit to the factory on Thursday, the forum’s interim chairman, Mr. Mustapha Goniri, lauded the initiative as a significant achievement for the state. He explained that the visit was part of the forum’s 2024 end-of-year activities, aimed at assessing the company’s progress and identifying potential challenges.

“This will create a synergy among Managers, Executive Secretaries, and Managing Directors. We want to exchange ideas and make some useful suggestions where necessary for the development of the state,” Goniri stated.

He further highlighted the forum’s intention to conduct similar visits regularly, fostering collaboration among its members to address common issues and share best practices.

Receiving the delegation, the General Manager of the Yobe Concrete Pole Factory, Haruna Maje, expressed gratitude for the forum’s support. He detailed the company’s purpose, which includes supporting rural and urban electrification projects, creating jobs for youths, and boosting the state’s revenue.

Maje noted that the resuscitation of the factory aligns with Governor Mai Mala Buni’s vision of reviving dormant industries across Yobe State.
