Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has requested an investigation into the tragic airstrike of a Sokoto community.
According to the party, the investigation is to further guarantee the protection and safety of civilians in the fight against terrorism in the country.
Debo Ologunagba, its National Publicity Secretary, in a statement recounted similar incidents that claimed the lives of civilians in Kaduna State in December 2023 and September 2024, and seek steps to avoid such calamity in the future.
The opposition party commeserates with families of the victims of the incident and urged the Federal Government to take necessary steps to compensate families of the dead and ensure adequate medical attention for the speedy recovery of the wounded.
The PDP also urged the military not to relent in its patriotic efforts in the fight against terrorism in the country.
