Okele suggests ‘signing’ foreign presidents to fix Nigeria

Yoruba actor and comedian Okele has stirred conversation online after proposing an unconventional solution to Nigeria’s leadership challenges.

In a recent video translated from Yoruba to English, Okele compared governance to football, suggesting that Nigeria could “sign” former presidents from other countries if local leaders fail to perform.

“In football, coaches move from one club to another. So why can’t Nigeria do the same? If a president isn’t delivering, we can sack him and bring in someone who has done well elsewhere,” he said.

Okele added that importing proven leaders could help address the nation’s recurring issues with underperforming politicians.
