Kwara State Government Launches Awareness Campaign for Agro-Industrial Project

 

The Kwara State Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Project has commenced sensitization of stakeholders in communities across the state.

The State Project Coordinator, Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, made this known during the sensitization programme of community stakeholders, in Okuta, Baruten Local Government Area of the state.

Represented by a Livestock Specialist, Mr Abdulfatah Lekan Ambali the state coordinator said the sensitization is on the overview of the project, affecting the people of the State and its environs.
He said the stakeholders to be involved includes Traditional Rulers Local Government Council Officers and livestock and crop Farmers including a workshop for Women’s Agricultural Cooperatives and Women’s Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), on climate-smart agricultural technology.

The coordinator added that the programme which is an initiative of the present administration will be used to mobilise investment in food production and processing in special zones for stakeholders.
