Suspected Herdsmen Kill Farmer in Fresh Attack on Yelewata Community

Yelewata community in Nyiev Council Ward, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, attacked by armed Fulani herdsmen, leaving one farmer dead.

The victim, identified as Mr. Hemen Ayua Jonyi, was reportedly hacked to death with a machete while attempting to access his yam farm, located less than a mile from the village square.

This latest incident comes just two weeks after three residents were killed and three others injured in a similar attack on the community, and less than three months after over 200 people were massacred by suspected Fulani militia in Yelewata.
