23-Year-Old Adoration Zenzekile Ends Marriage After One Month

Adoration Zenzekile, a 23-year-old South African woman, has gone viral after announcing the end of her marriage just one month after tying the knot.

In emotional posts shared on Facebook and TikTok, she explained that ongoing issues from her engagement in 2023 worsened after the wedding, ultimately leading to an early divorce.

Zenzekile claimed her former mother-in-law was a major source of conflict, accusing her of emotional abuse and disrespect. She also criticized her ex-husband, Nhlamulo, for failing to defend her, saying he chose to side with his mother rather than support their marriage.

“The allegation that I cheated is completely false,” Adoration wrote. “I was belittled and mistreated by his mother, and living in the same yard with his parents only made things worse. When I left for my peace of mind, he blamed me and used infidelity as an excuse.”

Her candid video—captioned “Your marriage only lasted a month, now you’re 23 & divorced”—sparked widespread support. Many praised her courage to walk away from what she described as a toxic environment.

“You did the right thing by leaving,” one supporter wrote. Others offered prayers, encouragement, and applauded her for choosing peace over enduring emotional harm.

Adoration’s story has reignited conversations about the pressures young brides face, particularly in navigating complex in-law dynamics. Many online users praised her decision to speak out, calling it a bold act of self-preservation.
