Fani-Kayode Demands Swift Justice After Yelewata Massacre
Former Aviation Minister and outspoken political figure, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has fiercely condemned the brutal massacre in Yelewata village, Guma LGA of Benue State, which claimed over 200 lives on June 13, 2025. Describing the attack as a “genocide” and an act of “pure evil,” Fani-Kayode called for ruthless action against the perpetrators.
In a fiery statement released Monday, he accused the attackers whom he described as “demon-possessed terrorists” of slaughtering innocent civilians, including babies, with unimaginable cruelty.
“This genocide has stirred the rage of every right-thinking Nigerian,” he said. “It’s not just unacceptable it is an abomination.”

Fani-Kayode urged the Federal Government to move beyond condolences and take decisive military action, linking the attackers to terror groups like Boko Haram, ISWAP, and foreign militias. He welcomed President Bola Tinubu’s planned visit to the region but emphasized that “symbolism must give way to action.”
“We must take the battle to the enemy,” he declared. “Open the gates of hell for them send them there for eternity.”
Warning that the killings were part of a broader agenda to destabilize Nigeria, he alleged foreign interests were fueling ethnic and religious divisions to provoke civil war and plunder national resources.
“They must not succeed,” he stressed. “Nigerians must unite and fight back with the full power of the state and the people.”
Fani-Kayode also advocated arming citizens for self-defense, saying, “This madness has gone on for too long. It must end now.”
He concluded with a call for strength and divine justice: “The only answer to tyranny and terror is resistance and strength.”
The statement quickly gained traction online, sparking widespread reactions as Nigerians continue to demand justice, security reforms, and lasting peace in Benue and beyond.
