Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has dismissed claims by singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, that he bit him during their celebrity boxing rematch held in Lagos.

Speaking on TVC Entertainment on Tuesday, Okocha described the allegation as false, explaining that he wore a mouth guard throughout the fight, making it impossible for him to bite his opponent.

The boxing rematch took place on Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, where Okocha was declared the winner after Portable was disqualified for violating the rules of the contest.

Portable was allowed to use wrestling techniques under the match rules but reportedly abandoned them in favour of punching, leading to his disqualification before he eventually left the ring.

After the bout, the singer accused Okocha of biting him on the back and placing him in a neck lock during the fight. He also questioned Okocha’s participation in the contest.

Reacting to the accusation, Okocha insisted that Portable’s claim could not be true because he had been wearing a mouth guard throughout the match.

“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying.

“I would rather chew grass than bite him. I don’t want to catch rabies. Have you seen how Portable’s skin looks? Hell no, I wouldn’t do that. He should just accept defeat,” he said.

The actor’s response comes days after the widely publicised rematch, which drew significant attention following their earlier celebrity boxing encounter.

Okocha maintained that the outcome of the fight was clear and urged Portable to accept the result rather than make allegations about what transpired in the ring.
