Troops Arrest Woman With 300 Rounds of Ammunition, While Trying to Supply Bandits in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army has reportedly apprehended a 50-year-old woman in Kaduna State over allegations that she was transporting 300 rounds of ammunition to suspected bandits.

The woman was reportedly arrested in Igabi Local Government Area of the state following preliminary investigations into the movement of the ammunition. According to reports, she had allegedly travelled from Zamfara State to Lafia in Nasarawa State, where she reportedly obtained the ammunition before proceeding towards the Birnin Gwari forest area of Kaduna.

Investigators reportedly suspect that the ammunition was intended for delivery to armed groups operating in the forest. However, authorities are expected to conduct further investigations to determine the source of the ammunition, the circumstances surrounding its acquisition and its alleged intended recipients.
