EPL: Italian-Nigerian Born Defender Caleb Okoli Plots Man Utd Upset

Leicester City defender Caleb Okoli emphasized the importance of Sunday’s Premier League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford, highlighting the Red Devils’ attacking prowess.

Leicester City sits 15th in the Premier League standings with 10 points, while Manchester United holds 13th place with 12 points. Okoli’s side seeks revenge after a 5-2 loss in their last visit to Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup on October 30. The Foxes have struggled to find consistency, with only two wins in their last six Premier League matches.

Okoli praised Manchester United’s attacking options, including Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Højlund. “They have great players and are a very attacking team with good wingers and attacking players,” Okoli stated on Leicester City’s official website. “We need to be fully alert to their threats.”

The Italian-Nigerian defender acknowledged that Leicester City can gain valuable insights from their previous encounter. “The result of the last game in Manchester will help us improve and be better prepared,” Okoli added.

Okoli emphasized the importance of defensive solidity. “We have to keep alert in our defending and focus on our playing style. Hopefully, we can go and get a result.” Leicester City’s defensive record has been a concern, with 19 goals conceded in 10 Premier League matches.
