Twenty six suspected kidnappers—including armed bandits from as far as Zamfara—have been captured in a major joint security operation in Okunland, Kogi West.
The two-week-long effort, led by the Civilian JTF and security agencies, was confirmed by State Security Adviser Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd.), who revealed that even local collaborators supplying food and logistics to the kidnappers were nabbed.

The traditional ruler of Aiyegunle-Igun Bunu, Oba Omodamori, hailed the operation and criticized a recent protest as “ill-timed” and “misleading,” warning against community members aiding criminals.
