Tragic Discovery in Uyo: Young Woman Found Dead in Gutter

Residents of Uyo woke up to a distressing scene on Wednesday morning as the body of a young woman, yet to be identified, was discovered in a gutter along Okokon Etuk Street, near the Barracks Road area.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear at the time of this report. Passersby who found the body immediately alerted local authorities, prompting a swift response from the police and emergency personnel. The scene was cordoned off, and the body has since been evacuated to a nearby morgue for autopsy and identification.

Authorities say investigations are underway to determine the cause of death and identify the deceased. However, the tragic incident has sparked widespread concern about safety in Uyo, particularly during nighttime hours.
