Four Die in Ogun ‘Hit-and-Run’ Road Crash — FRSC Confirms

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of four individuals following a hit-and-run road accident along Oke Iganmu in Ilaro, Ogun State.

The tragic incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. and involved two vehicles: a yellow tricycle with registration number DED425WB and an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

Ogun Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Akinwumi Fasakin, disclosed the details in a statement released by the command’s Public Education Officer, Mrs. Florence Okpe, on Monday.

According to the FRSC,

“Operatives of RS2.211, Ilaro Unit Command, responded swiftly to the crash scene for a rescue operation.”

Fasakin revealed that the crash claimed the lives of all four passengers in the tricycle — two male adults and two female adults.

“However, the corpses of the victims have been deposited at the State Hospital Morgue, Ilaro, Ogun,” he said.

The Sector Commander identified speeding and dangerous driving as the suspected causes of the accident.

He also extended his condolences to the bereaved families and urged all motorists to prioritize safety and caution while using the roads.
