The Federal High Court in Abuja has affirmed the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) under former Senate President David Mark.
In a judgment delivered on Thursday, Justice Musa Liman upheld the party’s current leadership structure and dismissed a suit filed by Rep. Leke Abejide, who had challenged the appointments of David Mark as National Chairman and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary of the party.
The court ruled that the case lacked merit, effectively reaffirming the legitimacy of the Mark-led leadership of the ADC.
The ruling is expected to strengthen the party’s leadership ahead of its political activities and preparations for future elections, bringing legal clarity to the internal dispute over the party’s national leadership.
