NDLEA Intercepts Cocaine Hidden in Lipsticks

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized cocaine concealed in lipsticks and a property title document destined for the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement released on Sunday by the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, operatives from the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation uncovered the illicit drugs on Thursday during a routine inspection at a logistics company in Lagos.

The agency disclosed that 420 grams of cocaine were discovered embedded in 84 factory-sealed lipsticks bound for the UK. Additionally, 280 grams of the same substance were found hidden inside a Certificate of Occupancy being shipped to Saudi Arabia.

The NDLEA reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying efforts against drug trafficking through both traditional and creative smuggling methods.
