Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has announced that the late former President Muhammadu Buhari will be laid to rest on Tuesday in his hometown of Daura, located in Daura Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking to journalists on Monday at the Katsina Government House, Governor Radda disclosed that all necessary arrangements for the burial had been concluded in consultation with Buhari’s family and associates in London.
“The burial arrangement for our father, the late president who passed away yesterday in a hospital in London, has been finalized. After consultations with his family and those around him in London, it has been agreed that the body will arrive in Katsina tomorrow at 12 noon, with the burial scheduled to take place in Daura at around 2 p.m.,” the governor said.

He added, “On behalf of myself, the people, and the government of Katsina State, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and the entire nation, especially to His Excellency, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the passing of his predecessor. May Almighty Allah grant us the strength to bear this loss.”
