Wike’s Security Aide Accused of Using Fake Court Order to Detain FCDA Worker Who Leaked Land Documents
, has been accused of using a fake court order to detain an employee of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

A security aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has been accused of using a fake court order to detain an employee of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). The worker is said to have leaked documents showing how land in Abuja was allocated to the minister’s children.
Sources say the FCDA staff member, whose name is being kept private for safety reasons, was arrested after internal documents were leaked to the public. The documents showed land allocations that appeared to benefit Wike’s children, raising concerns about misuse of power.
Instead of following proper legal steps, Wike’s Chief Security Officer (CSO) allegedly used a forged court order to justify the arrest. Legal experts who looked at the court order say it was fake and did not meet official standards.
“This is a serious abuse of power,” said a lawyer familiar with the case. “Using a fake court order to arrest someone is illegal and dangerous, especially when the person is a whistleblower.”
Human rights groups have condemned the arrest and are calling for an investigation. They say the FCDA worker should be released immediately and that whistleblowers should be protected, not punished.
So far, the FCT ministry has not responded to the allegations. Efforts to speak with the CSO have also failed. Rights activists are asking the government to take action and prevent this kind of abuse in the future.
This case has raised more questions about transparency and the treatment of whistleblowers in Nigeria’s public service. Many are now watching closely to see how the government will respond.
