The Edo State Police Command has arrested Theophilus Osazuwa for allegedly killing his four-year-old son, Testimony . Moses Yamu, Osazuwa was suspected to have committed the act while under the influence of hard drugs
The incident occurred on Tuesday at Osazuwa’s apartment in Ogbeson Quarters, off Benin-Agbor Road in Benin City. Osazuwa had just returned home when he suddenly fell into a trance, screaming “Holy Ghost fire” before grabbing his son and slamming him against the wall.
The child was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Preliminary investigation revealed that Osazuwa, known for consuming illicit substances, likely acted under their influence.
The Commissioner of Police, Umoru Ozigi, has cautioned youths against the dangers of consuming illicit substances and drugs, emphasizing their harmful effects on health and safety.
