EFCC Arrests 32 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Bauchi

On Friday, July 25, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Gombe Zonal Directorate apprehended 32 individuals suspected of internet fraud. The information was shared on the Commission’s official X (Twitter) account on Monday. The suspects were detained in the Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji neighborhoods of Bauchi State’s capital, based on credible intelligence connecting them to illegal online activities.

According to EFCC, “items recovered from them include: nine Samsung mobile phones, 15 iPhones, one infinix phone, three Redmi phones, two iPads, one Peugeot 406 car, two Playstation 4, one PlayStation 5, four Neonx Auto bike, eight laptop computers, one Maxi E50KWH generator and one pistol”.

“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the Commission said
