Kwara govt applauds KWASU for been model Institution

Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, Kwara State Governor, has applauded the management of Kwara State University (KWASU) for making the institution a model, trending in academics, ground-breaking research and impactful community development service.
The Governor who was represented by the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr Mary Arinde, said this during KWASU’s 12th convocation ceremony on Saturday in Malete.
AbdulRazaq, appreciated the school for getting to a milestone of pride for the university community and the entire state.
He urged everyone to continue to work together to elevate KWASU and ensure it remained a trailblazer in education, research and community service.
Johnson Bamidele, KWASU Chancellor, who also spoke at the convocation noted that the university is known for excellence, especially in contributing to the state’s advancement and that of the world at large.
According to Bamidele, the university had, through its collaborations, continued to improve its teaching, learning and research activities as a reference among universities, locally and internationally.
“We are unwavering in our determination to be the fulcrum of a knowledge-driven society, building competencies through creativity and cutting-edge technology.
“Since 2022, KWASU has recorded many new achievements in her academic growth, from nine faculties presented at the last convocation to 11,” he said.
The then implored the graduates to engage the education received in KWASU as the ticket to change the world, convert challenges to stepping stones and see opportunities where others see limitations.
