Lecturer Allegedly Commits Suicide

Samson Philip, a 45-year-old lecturer, has allegedly committed suicide in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State.

He was found dead with a rope around his neck on Tuesday morning, May 13, 2025.

A bottle of an unknown substance was also found near his lifeless body.

The police are currently investigating the situations surrounding his death.

Samson who was a lecturer at the Taraba State College of Health Technology, Takum until his death was laid to rest at Bete in Takum the same day.

Henry Kasimu, a pharmacist, shared photos from the burial, saying the deceased took the drastic step for unknown reasons.

“Earlier today, we were at Bete in Takum LGA to bid Samson Philip farewell,” he wrote.

FCNN learnt that Samson committed suicide for reasons best known to him and God.

People were guessing possible reasons and all were MAY BE, only God and Samson knew the REAL BE.
