Police Recover Stun Gun from Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s Residence, Lagos Command Confirms

The Lagos State Police command mand has confirmed the recovery of a stun gun from the residence of popular televangelist and Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin. This was disclosed in an official statement issued by the Command on Tuesday, as part of an ongoing investigation.

According to police sources, the device was discovered during a routine inspection and search exercise carried out in Lagos. The operation was part of a wider security measure to ensure compliance with laws governing the possession of potentially dangerous weapons.

Speaking on the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the recovery of the stun gun and said the case is currently under investigation. He clarified that while stun guns are considered non-lethal, they are still classified as weapons under Nigerian law and are subject to specific regulations.

“Yes, a stun gun was recovered from Pastor Paul Adefarasin. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding its possession and whether proper legal procedures were followed,” Hundeyin said.

He added that the pastor has not been arrested or detained, and the police are handling the matter with professionalism and due process. “There is no cause for panic or speculation. We urge the public to remain calm while the investigation is being conducted,” he stated.

So far, Pastor Adefarasin or the church has not issued an official statement regarding the matter. However, sources close to the church leadership have described the development as “surprising” and have expressed confidence that the issue will be resolved quickly and peacefully.
