Company, Philanthropists Extend Support to Nigerians with Disabilities

Pukka Logistics and Support Services Ltd., in partnership with international philanthropists, has provided vital support to Nigerians living with disabilities in Lagos.

At a recent outreach held at the Centre for Citizens with Disabilities in Opebi, Ikeja, food items were distributed to beneficiaries, along with messages of encouragement and solidarity.

Akingbelu-Banjo, a representative of Pukka Logistics, noted that the initiative—launched in March 2024—is part of a broader effort to tackle hunger and food insecurity across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria.

The programme is being implemented in collaboration with international businessmen Sudeep Ramnani and Jai Mahtani.

“Thousands of Nigerians have already benefited from this initiative,” said Akingbelu-Banjo. “This is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to end hunger and improve food access nationwide. We are inspired by the resilience of Nigerians and are determined to continue making a difference, one community at a time.”

Ms. Florence Austin, speaking on behalf of the Centre for Citizens with Disabilities, expressed deep appreciation for the support.

“We are truly grateful for this thoughtful and timely gesture. It meets a real need and we hope it encourages more individuals and organisations to step forward in support of persons with disabilities,” she said.
