FG Extends Deadline for Paramilitary Recruitment by One Week

The Federal Government has extended the deadline for the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service by one week.

Initially scheduled to close on Monday, August 4, 2025, the recruitment portal will now remain open until Monday, August 11, 2025.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Maj. Gen. A. M. Jibril (retd.). He noted that the extension aims to give more interested applicants the opportunity to submit their applications.

“The Board wishes to notify the general public that the closing date for its ongoing recruitment exercise has been extended by one week. The portal, originally set to close on Monday, 4th August, 2025, will now remain open until Monday, 11th August, 2025,” the statement read.

The Board emphasized that the official recruitment portal remains https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng and reiterated that the entire process is free of charge. It also reaffirmed its commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment exercise.
