Political Showdown in Rivers: Governor Fubara Declares War on Abuja, Asserts Supreme Authority!

“I am the Governor of Rivers State, not a glorified local government chairman of Government House. I will not allow anyone, within or outside the state, to undermine the authority entrusted to me by the people.”

He further accused external forces—hinting at the presidency and Supreme Court—of interfering in Rivers’ affairs, warning that his administration would no longer recognize federal directives but instead follow only the orders of the Rivers State High Court.

“We have given Mr. President and the Supreme Court too much undeserved respect. Enough is enough. If these external forces push us further, we will react in a manner they will never imagine,” Fubara thundered.

This latest development escalates the ongoing political crisis in Rivers, setting the stage for a high-stakes confrontation between the state government and federal powers.
