Kindly share this story

A fresh faction has emerged within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), challenging the leadership of the coalition led by David Mark and also distancing itself from the group associated with Nafiu Bala.
According to Africa Independent Television, the new group is headed by Don Norman Obinna, who says they represent the party’s rightful National Executive Committee. The faction claims it has taken responsibility for overseeing party operations in the lead-up to the next national convention.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, the group argued that the tenure of Ralph Nwosu who handed over the party structure to the David Mark-led coalition expired in August 2022. They added that Nwosu has since been involved in multiple legal disputes for not stepping down when expected.
The faction also addressed the position of Nafiu Bala, stating that he never served as National Vice Chairman. It further confirmed that former ADC presidential candidate Dumebi Kachikwu remains a member of the party.
Additionally, the group announced the appointment of interim officials to manage party affairs until a national convention is conducted.
