Insecurity : Panic in Abia community as gunmen kill scores of police on duty

FUSION CHRONICLES NIGERIA NEWSPAPER gathered that the incident occurred in Ebem , Asaga area of Abia state and residents have fled the area for safety over fear of another attack.
The attack came two days after two police officers attacjed to Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, a member of the House of Representatives representing Isiala-Ngwa North/South Constituency, were reportedly ambushed by armed assailants while on official duty in Umuahia the Abia state capital.
The incident which occurred on Sunday around 8:30 pm left one police officer who sustained multiple gunshot wounds dead while the other officer and the driver escaped the attack.
All efforts made by newsmen to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka for comments were unsuccessful as at the time this report was filled .
