Just in: Protests Erupt in Katsina Over Alleged Blasphemy

Tension rose in parts of Katsina State on Thursday after protests broke out near the Kofar Soro area following allegations that a man made blasphemous remarks against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

According to local sources, groups of protesters gathered in the area demanding that the authorities take action over the alleged incident. Security personnel were reportedly deployed to monitor the situation and maintain public order as residents expressed concerns over possible escalation.

As of the time of filing this report, the identity of the accused had not been officially disclosed, and authorities had not released a detailed statement confirming the circumstances surrounding the allegation.

Residents have been urged to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and allow security agencies and relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
